Tennessee

From LibertyWin.org

One southern state that many people choose to move to is Tennessee, it has similar conservative politics to Florida and Texas but comes with problems of its own. It does not have as much liberty as New Hampshire.

Taxes

Like NH, Tennessee has no income tax. Unlike NH, it has some of the highest sales taxes in the country at an average of around 9.55% in addition to a gross receipt tax of 0.02% - 0.03%.

Politics and Representation

The Tennessee House of Representatives has 99 members, with each member representing about 69,000 people each. The Senate has 33 members, representing about 184,000 to 254,000 people each. This makes the Tennessee state government much more difficult to penetrate by pro-liberty candidates, compared to the New Hampshire (where House seats represent about 3,300 people and Senate seats represent about 54,000 people).

Gun Rights

Unlike NH, you may not open carry long guns with loaded ammo.

Driving and Car Insurance

Tennessee mandates car insurance. New Hampshire doesn't.
