Rochester is a small city in the northern edges of what people consider to be the Seacoast. As of the 2020, the population is 32,492. Nicknamed the Lilac City, Rochester is often a good location to move if you prefer slightly less-expensive real estate while still being close to the amenities of the Seacoast.

If you go north for an hours from Rochester, you get to the Lakes region, and a little further gets you to the White Mountain National Forest. Heading south, you have Dover and Portsmouth.
