The New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, founded in Nov. 2003, is a non-partisan coalition working to increase individual freedom in New Hampshire. They do this by monitoring bills in the legislative sessions and encouraging private charity, a civil society, and citizen involvement.
Work
The NGLA reviews bills that are of interest to liberty people in New Hampshire based on how they would effect civil liberties, personal responsibility, property rights, accountability, and a variety of other factors. They then publish a handout called "The Gold Standard", which gives legislators recommendations for how to vote on the legislation in question. From that, they issue a report card for legislators providing their Liberty Rating. The Liberty Rating takes into account their voting record on pro-liberty or anti-liberty votes and their impact within the state.
